Rob Forbes | Design Within Reach and Public Bikes
Rob Forbes has been a professional artist, author, business entrepreneur, photographer, critic and public speaker. He is best known as the Founder of Design Within Reach and as a public advocate and spokesperson for modern design.
Tom DiRenzo | Architecture and Design Director at CRI San Francisco
Tom DiRenzo has been professionally and personally committed to the design community for over 30 years. Prior to joining CRI, a Herman Miller dealership, in 1996 as A&D Director, he worked for Deepa Textiles and Knoll. It was at Deepa Textiles that he first met Laura Guido-Clark and he has been in awe of her ever since. He has a degree in Journalism from Temple University which he still finds invaluable in his ongoing quest to interview every person he meets. Tom’s good deeds have extended to volunteering with the San Francisco Suicide Prevention Center, fund raising for SF AIDS Foundation and participating in SF Library’s Adult Literacy Program. He is the 2015 recipient of the IIDA Northern California Distinguished Achievement Award.
John Lieu | Director Facilities at Rakuten USA
John Lieu is a Director of Real Estate & Facilities, with 19 years of experience in internet media and eCommerce companies. His professional experience includes interior design and construction, real estate strategy, furniture and project management, day to day operations, and security.
Crimson Rose | Co-Founder of Burning Man, the Black Rock arts Foundation and Burning Man Project
As a co-founder of Burning Man, the Black Rock Arts Foundation and Burning Man Project, Crimson Rose’s life passion and work have focused on the arts and artistic expression.
She began participating in the Burning Man event in 1991, and developed the organization’s Art Department, including the infrastructure, financial and other support services that make possible the large-scale participatory art works that Burning Man is renowned for.
With Crimson’s guidance, Burning Man serves as an inspirational limitless canvas, the works of which now find public placement in cities around the world and serve as catalytic sparks for community collaboration.
